Theme Park science: schools engagement

Challenge: how to attract more visitors to a theme park during term-time?

Solution: Produce age-appropriate and curriculum-aligned presentations for Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 school visits, together with introductory and follow-up resources for teachers about thescience of theme parks. Then develop gamified science activities to challenge students as they enjoy their visit, unlocking fast track rides.

What we did: Astin Consulting researched the science of theme parks (energy and forces, special effects, safety features, environmental issues and more), mapped the curriculum links, developed three presentations, wrote the teacher resources and developed the app questions.
