Christina Astin
Founder, Astin Consulting
Christina is a prominent thought-leader on partnerships, especially cross-sector, and helps schools build strategic partnerships for mutual benefit. She is Founder-Chair of the Schools Together Group (now a charity, the School Partnerships Alliance), established whilst she led partnerships at The King’s School, Canterbury.
She offers bespoke partnerships consultancy and mentoring for schools, directs training programmes, including delivering the HMCPD courses on this area, and speaks and writes on partnerships. In 2022 she launched #PartnerChat, a network for school partnerships professionals, hosting monthly virtual “breakfast briefings” to discuss topics relating to partnerships.
Christina has been a pioneer in the world of school partnerships, inventing the wheel for the first time with the reciprocity and mutuality implicit in the East Kent Schools Together model, and the guiding spirit and conscience of the Schools Together Group since the beginning in May 2016. She had the vision to see that such a group was needed, and the gumption to get it together, forging an organisation that was of national significance in its scope and ambition.
She is an outstanding consultant and I recommend her wholeheartedly.
