“Physics Fuel” films

Challenge: many science teachers are teaching physics outisde of their own specialism, opr are new to teaching. What can be done to support these teachers in preparing to teach those tricky topics for GCSE?

Solution: Physics Fuel is a series of ten-minute films for physics teachers. Designed to boost their teaching in particular topics, each film focuses on an area of the curriculum which can be challenging to teach. Those who are new to teaching physics, or teaching outside their specialism find them particularly helpful ahead of planning a new topic, to refresh their subject knowledge, get a heads-up on students’ likely misconceptions and pick up some useful teaching ideas.

What we did: Astin Consulting proposed, project-managed and quality-assured the films for the client, Physics Partners, and Christina presented a couple herself!
