Topic: Cross-sector student exchanges

Bringing pupils together from diverse lived experiences can be immensely powerful. The people at Roots Programme know all about this, enacting their belief that “bringing people together, who may otherwise never get an opportunity to glimpse into one another’s lives offers insight and understanding that can make our society a more connected and compassionate one.”

I’m delighted that Heidi Heinemann from Roots will be joining our Breakfast Briefing to explain more about their work, and we’ll also be joined by colleagues from state and independent schools in the NW whose students have first hand experience of the programme. Please join us to learn more, pick up tips on making your own exchange a success and sharing your own experiences.

In the interests of sector balance, colleagues from independent schools are encouraged to invite state school partners to attend the meeting and vice versa.

If this is your first Breakfast Briefing, then you are warmly welcome and we look forward to meeting you and introducing you to colleagues working in the same space. To join the mailing list for future events, please visit this page.

Breakfast briefings are free to all. If you would like to make a contribution to admin costs, please visit our Buy Me A Coffee page – thank you. (We can also provide an invoice if that is easier to process at your school.)
