From time to time it’s useful to call on a colleague with particular expertise or experience to broaden the support on offer to schools. I’m fortunate to have worked with a number of people who know more about certain issues than me and can help with specialist advice.

Margaret Hunnaball
Margaret is an expert on independent-state school partnerships (ISSPs) and in 2022 was awarded her PhD on the subject. She was previously a teacher and senior leader in both state and independent schools. Margaret is a Trustee of HMCK, a charity which funds ISSPs.

Sarah Moir
Currently Project Lead for East Kent Schools Together, Sarah’s background is in communications, development and events management/fundraising in the arts and education sectors. Sarah is knowledgeable about securing sponsorship and funding streams and how to drive forward collaborative opportunities.

Gordon Montgomery
Gordon is an experienced school leader, teacher trainer, governor and public speaker with a strong track record of leading culture change within organisations. He leads innovative partnerships with a practical sense of strategy, reaching over 30k young people every year.
Expertise: Culture Change, Leadership, Maths inspiration, Scaling partnerships.

Jeremy Thomas
Jeremy is an expert practitioner in leading sustainable STEM partnerships. His career has spanned research posts and science teaching in both state and independent schools. His development of cross-phase and cross-sector partnerships at the Abingdon Science Partnership has attracted national recognition.
