Are you a Year 11 student (or parent) getting anxious about physics GCSE this year?
Are you worried about how much learning you missed out on during lockdown?
Are you concerned that your teacher might not be able to cover it all?
These GCSE Physics Booster sessions might be just the help you are looking for! Weekly 1-hour sessions for 8 weeks, starting in January 2021.
- Christina Astin has over 20 years’ experience teaching physics at secondary schools. She is expert at instilling confidence and reassuring students, and knows exactly what most students find difficult in physics.
- One-to-one tuition can be expensive (and a bit daunting). These small group sessions are interactive but without the spotlight of the webcam. They are capped at 15 students maximum, and at a much lower cost than 1:1 tutoring.
- Each week we will tackle a different topic from the GCSE physics specification (common to all exam boards) – see dates below. We’ll focus on the challenging areas, look at typical GCSE questions and use a whiteboard app to share answers.
- Whether the GCSEs go ahead or we rely on Centre-Assessed Grades, and whether this is the last year of studying physics or a gateway to A level, these Physics Boosters will improve attainment.
