New to Science Leadership

Stepping into science leadership can feel exciting, challenging and overwhelming all at once.  This accelerated, highly practical programme is designed to help new and aspiring secondary science leaders build confidence quickly, make a strong impact in their department and avoid feeling like they have to work everything out alone.

Every session is grounded in real school experience, with practical strategies you can apply immediately in your own context.

Whether you are newly appointed, preparing for your first leadership role, or looking to refresh and strengthen your leadership practice, this programme will help you lead with greater clarity, confidence and purpose.

This programme is aimed at any new leaders, anyone aspiring to a leadership position within a secondary science department (head of science or a subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), head of key stage or lead practitioner) – or anyone looking for a refresher.

Early bird cost for ASE members is £225 and non-members is £275.  The early bird tickets will be available until 8th June.

After 8th June the cost will be £250 for ASE members and £300 for non-members.
