The prospect of addressing teenage students can be quite daunting! I have volunteered (as a STEM Ambassador) to run this session for fellow STEM Ambassadors and offer some tips from my 20+ years’ experience as a secondary school teacher.
- How confident do you feel talking to secondary school students 1:1 / in small groups / addressing a large group?
- Do you feel reluctant to volunteer in secondary schools because of being unsure how to engage with students of this age group?
