It is wonderful to be back at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Faversham again for the sixth Kent Physics Day, organised in conjunction with The STEM Hub.
Booking is open for this day of Physics CPD for secondary science teachers and technicians in Kent – and it is FREE!
We will meet face-to-face on Saturday 09 March from 9.00am to 4pm, with lunch and refreshments throughout the day included.
Colleagues are warmly invited to this full day of training and workshops for all teachers of physics (whether specialist or not), ECTs, trainees and technicians. Some schools have previously come as a whole team to experience this fantastic CPD together – and we can provide certificates of attendance.
There will be sessions covering key physics topics for KS3, KS4 and KS5 with lots of hands-on practical activities and ideas for making your teaching even more engaging, all delivered by expert physics teacher trainers. And this year we have two fabulous keynote speakers: Jess Wade on inclusive curriculum and James de Winter on ideas from physics education research. It’s a chance to network with colleagues from across the region and find out about resources available locally. Whilst the programme is primarily designed with teachers in mind, technicians may benefit from the more practical workshops. There will also be a Science TeachMeet as part of the day.
