Leadership and School Transformation
When school leaders collaborate, the results can be transformational. And for schools that are excited about innovative transformation, the support that comes from collaborating with others is crucial.
For this Breakfast Briefing, we’re excited to welcome Sarah Seleznyov from Next Big Ten, a project which has grown from Big Education. Next Big Ten brings school leaders together “who want to develop innovative education practices alongside like-minded schools, and to shout louder about the possibility of doing education differently”. Those of us working in the cross-sector educational space know how much richer that collaboration can be when different schools come together with a diversity of experience.
We’ll also hear from Chris Wheeler, joining us again to share his perspective on the importance of critical friendship for school leaders. His school, Monkton Combe, remains the only independent school member of Challenge Partners and the reflections he gains from his partner school heads is critical to his leadership. In the interests of sector balance, colleagues from independent schools are encouraged to invite state school partners to attend the meeting and vice versa.
